Homes have no visibility into how much power they're using until the bill arrives, making it hard to catch waste or unusually high consumption early.
Solution
A non-invasive current clamp sensor (SCT-013) on the main line feeds an ESP32 node, which publishes live power readings over MQTT to a web dashboard with historical usage charts and alerts when consumption crosses a set threshold.
Outcome
A working prototype with live whole-house power monitoring, historical charts, and high-consumption alerts.
